Hi, I'm Dave, with over 2,000 dives in over 50 countries under my weightbelt, let me use my experiences to help you plan your next diving adventure. Technical dive training can not only make you a better more confident diver, it can be a lot of fun and quite challeging!! I have taken almost every dive certification you can get and with every new dive skill you learn it opens another door to the underwater world we visit. I will give you information on the different dive training agencies out there, but talk to other divers to see which dive agency they use or maybe they can recommend a dive instructor in your area who they thought was a good teacher and read write-ups in the diving magazines that make have articles or ads about the different dive training available.Happy learning....dive safe...have fun!!!

Tek diving opens a whole to world of opportunities in the world of diving.....where recreational diving ends, tek diving begins!!!! I have been tek diving for many years now, going places that just aren't accessable to recreational divers....deep wrecks....caves.....and beyond that technical dive training will make you a much better diver, much more confidence and self-sufficient. The training and the studying is much harder than any of the other dive certifications you will recieve, but the rewards and the feeling of accomplishment will also be greater.
Below listed are the major tek dive training agencies available. I know that a lot of people do thier dive training on thier vacation, but talk to other people you know who have taken technical dive courses or talk to dive instructors in your area who may know a good technical dive instructor....this is one that you will definitly have a lot of fun with!!!!
One of the largest technical diving agencies....the one I learned with....I found they were excellent. The insructors really knew thier stuff and wanted me to as well. He insisted on me getting my mixed gas blending technician before my advanced nitrox or trimix, beacuse at extreme depths with extreme gas mixes, do you really want your life in anyone elses hands??They catered to the hardcore tek diver and were serious about teaching you the right way to dive extreme SAFE.

One of the largest technical diving agencies, has a few more of the step certifications between recreational and technical diving. Never personally used any of thier training, but have heard good things.
